SeedCLOUD

2022

An interactive sound installation tracing stories of ecology, care, and interconnection.

Seedcloud is an interactive audio installation exploring the intersections of ecology, storytelling, and digital technology. Featuring eight varieties of seeds, the work invites visitors to engage through touch and sound. Each bowl of seeds contains an audio story, accessed via NFC-enabled mobile devices. Narrated by researchers, growers, conservationists, and storytellers, these recordings offer reflections on the cultural and ecological significance of each seed. Bridging the physical and digital, SeedCLOUD transforms seeds into vessels of memory and dialogue—catalysts for connection across disciplines, species, and time.

Exhibited at The Glucksman 2022, DLR Lexicon Municipal Gallery 2022, LHQ Gallery 2023, Glór 2025.

This work was supported by funding provided by the Arts Council of Ireland.
