Cause and Effect

2017

Cause and Effect features real dandelion heads transplanted onto blackthorn stems, enclosed within a bell jar. Drawing on Victorian traditions of hybridisation and botanical curiosity, the work explores the blending of natural forms to create new, imagined organisms. It reflects on transformation and adaptation, revealing the complex interplay between species and the ripple effects of human intervention within ecosystems.
